How can I make a reservation
for my dog to stay at The Lodge?
You can make reservations in the following
ways:

during our regular business hours. Our
office staff will be glad to assist you
in any way and answer any questions you
may have.

When can I bring my
dog to The Lodge after a reservation
has been made?
Dogs will be admitted any time during our
regular business hours. No walk-ins will
be accepted. Please check our website for
our hours. No pets will be admitted or released
after our regular business hours so we encourage
you to be on time. Final check-in is ½ hour
before our regular closing time. This will
allow us to get your dog acclimated to his
or her new surroundings before the business
office closes. During Holidays and school
vacation times, the lobby can become very
busy with many admissions especially close
to closing time. We ask that you allow additional
time for check-in procedures during those
busy times.

What forms do I need
to fill out before my dog is admitted
to The Lodge?
Having all the necessary paperwork signed
and filled out will help to reduce the time
necessary to check-in your dog. There are
five necessary forms:
- Proof of vaccination form, signed by
your veterinarian
- The client and pet profile sheet( filled
out only once) For multiple animals only
the bottom half pertaining to dog information
needs to be filled in
- Owner Agreement (which needs to be updated
yearly )
- New Client Reservation Request Form
- Additional Activities Request form
All of these forms are available on our
website except for the vaccination certificate.
The vaccination certificate is available
from your veterinarian. Your veterinarian
can fax the certificate to our office prior
to your dog’s admission date. If your
dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and has
recently boarded with us, it will not be
necessary to bring in a vaccination certificate
each time you return to The Lodge. Returning
clients need only to fill out the Reservation
Request and the Additional Activities forms
with each visit.

What Vaccinations does
my dog need before his or her visit to
The Lodge?
For the health and safety of all our guests,
we require the all dogs be up-to-date on
the following vaccinations. We will accept
1 or 3 year vaccinations for DHLP/P and Rabies
depending on your Veterinarian’s recommendation.
Because your dog will be exposed to other
dogs while at The Lodge, we strongly recommend
a yearly booster for Distemper, Hepatitis,
Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza and Parvo even
though the vaccine may offer 3 years of protection.
DHLP/P - 1 or 3 year
Rabies - 1 or 3 year
Bordetella or Kennel Cough – within
1 year of admission. If your dog is a frequent
boarder,
twice yearly ( every six months) boosters
are recommended.
Vaccinations must be done by a licensed
veterinarian. We will not accept vaccinations
given by owners (even if they are a nurse
or physician) or breeders. It is the responsibility
of you the owner to ensure that your pet’s
vaccinations are up-to-date. We reserve the
right to deny admission to any dog who is
not up-to-date on the required vaccinations.

What will my dog be
fed while boarding at The Lodge?
We use a very high quality food as our staple
diet at The Lodge. If you want your dog to
receive the same food that you feed your
dog at home we ask you to bring pre-labeled
baggies containing the exact amount of dry
food you wish us to feed your dog. Canned
food and other mix-ins that might require
refrigeration will also need to be labeled
with the amounts to feed and how you wish
us to prepare your dog’s food. Canned
food, frozen foods and baggies of dry food
should be labeled with your dog’s name
and your last name. Example: “Blackie” Smith.
If you prepare your dog’s meal in a
special way, please write down specific instructions
so that your dog can enjoy it’s mealtime
at The Lodge just as if he or she were at
home. If your dog is to be fed more than
once daily, please take that into consideration
when calculating the amount of food necessary.
If The Lodge food is used, there is NO additional
charge for food. If your food is to be fed
during your dog’s stay, there will
be an additional fee of $2.00 feeding to
cover the additional time and labor necessary
for the preparation and handling of your
dog’s special dietary needs. Unfortunately
The Lodge cannot accept water
bowls from home. The Lodge will provide a
custom elevated food and water bowl for each
dog.
The Lodge provides Natural Balance food. Large breeds of dogs will be fed "sweet potatoe and venison" Natural Balance and smaller breeds will be fed small bites "Duck and Potatoe" Natural Balance. This food is grain and wheat free and safe for dogs that have allergies.

What if my dog needs
medication?
We realize the importance of your dog receiving
its medication while you are away. We ask
that you bring the exact number of pills
that will be needed during your dog’s
stay plus one extra just in case we need
an extra pill. Place any medication in a
pre-labeled baggie marked with your dog’s
name, your last name and the medication name
and the EXACT instructions for administering
the medicine. Be sure to include the number
of pills to be given, the number of times
per day to administer the medication and
whether it has to be given in the morning,
at night or both am and pm. You may also
bring medications in the original vial but
please include only the number of pills necessary
for your dog’s stay plus one extra.
No medications will be given orally by any
member of our staff. All medications will
be given in a tasty treat, Pill Pocket or
a small morsel of food.
The charge to administer
medication will be as follows: once a day $3.00 per dose, twice a day $2.50 per dose totalling $5.50 per medicine, and for three times daily at $2.50 per dose totaling $7.50 per medicine
If your dog is a diabetic and needs daily
insulin injections our medical staff is fully
capable of
administering insulin as prescribed by your
veterinarian. Please bring your dog's insulin
with you and an appropriate number of syringes
to last your dog's entire stay. Make sure
our staff has complete instructions on when
to give the insulin injections and how many
units we are to give. Some dogs require insulin
only once per day while others require twice
daily injections. The charge to administer
insulin is 8.00 per dose.

What if my dog doesn’t
get along with other dogs?
Dogs are very social animals. However, not
all dogs get along with other dogs. If your
dog does not get along with other dogs in
a group situation, they will be assigned
to individual play rather than group play.
If your dog appears overly aggressive to
other dogs or to our staff, your dog will
be denied admission to The Lodge for the
protection of other dogs and our staff. Please
inform our staff on admission if your dog
has any behavior problems that we should
be aware of.

What to do I bring and
what not to bring?
You may bring up to 2 toys from home. We
will not accept Bullie Sticks or small Chewies
as they may present a choking hazard. Toys
should be of a cloth or hard rubber and should
be washable should they become soiled. Our
Lodge Room Suites come with a comfortable
chenille bed. Should you request one of our
premium suite rooms, your dog will receive
a designer pillow bed chosen specifically
for your dog’s needs. All beds are
sanitized between guests, so your pet can
enjoy a healthy and relaxing stay at The
Lodge. We are sorry that we cannot accept
bowls from home. We cannot be responsible
for lost or destroyed toys.

When can I pick up my
dog?
Check-out time is before 1 pm, Monday through
Saturday. Dogs picked up Monday thru Saturday,
after 1 pm will be charged a late pick-up
fee of $25.00 regardless of pick-up time.
You can pick your dog up any time up to our
regular closing hour. There will be no releases
after hours. If you cannot pick up your dog
on the scheduled release day or before our
closing, please notify The Lodge as soon
as possible so we can arrange for the continued
care of your dog.
On Sundays, you may pick up your
pet between the hours of 9 am and 10 am
and avoid any additional Sunday charges.
If you chose to pick up your pet between
10 am and up to 4 pm you will be charged
for Sunday nights lodging.
Appropriate nightly charges will be added
to your dog’s account. All charges
relating to boarding, grooming or daycare
must be paid in full before your dog is released
from The Lodge. If someone other than yourself
will be picking up your dog, we will need
their name and phone number given to us prior
to your dog’s release as we cannot
authorize a pet to be released to anyone
other than the owner unless we are previously
notified by the owner. Although you the owner
will not be picking up your dog, all charges
relating to your dog’s stay must still
be paid for in full before release.
We will not accept payment over the phone, nor do we keep your creidt card informtion on file. For this reason, we ask that you pre-pay or leave payment for another party if you will NOT be picking up your pet.

Does my dog need a
bath before going home?
We encourage all dogs to have a bath before
release. The Lodge offers many different
types of baths and shampoos to pamper your
dog during his or her bath. A massaging “Aqua-Surge” bath
helps to loosen up dead skin and fur and
would be a wonderful way to end your pet’s
stay at The Lodge. We also carry a complete
line of natural shampoos containing non-
irritating ingredients for those dogs that
have allergies or sensitive skin.
If however, your pet becomes soiled for any reason during his/her boarding stay, they will be bathed at the owner's expense.

What if my dog is being
groomed before departure, when can I
pick him or her up?
If your dog is being groomed prior
to departure, you may pick up your dog any
time that is convenient for you during our
regular Lodge hours. A time window for your
dog’s release, will be scheduled at
the time of admission. You will not be charged
a late fee (after 1 pm release) if your pet
is being groomed. Please allow
adequate time for your pet to be properly
bathed or groomed so our groomers will have
the proper time to make your dog look its
best.
